YMCA Training: No comment on publication concerns

with 3 comments

We recently published a large snippet of the Ipswich section to poverty pimp YMCA Training’s “YMCA Training – getting ready for the Work Programme” publication; a small snippet of such is as follows:

Some customers are long term unemployed, and have been on a number of New Deal programmes, whilst others have been made redundant in the recession. All customers attend an initial partner interview to identify those with complex needs, which may arise from medical conditions or lifestyle choices, such as alcohol and drugs issues, and several customers have a criminal record and are on the sex offenders register.

YMCA Training has yet to comment – likely an active refusal to participate, perhaps they are too busy with these sex offenders or don’t think this is a serious matter at all and exited the claims (as quoted from themselves) – but communication isn’t their strong point (not in English anyway, perhaps German?) with exceptions to sanction threats. We have kept this very low key at the moment and there has been no plans of protest against this.

  1. MARCH 10 2011:
SUFFOLK: As public protection agencies face massive cutbacks, the number of sex offenders who need careful monitoring continues to rise.

More than 500 convicted paedophiles, perverts and rapists are now on the county’s growing sex offenders’ register, according to official figures.
Suffolk Constabulary said 533 criminals are currently on the list, equating to a 26 per cent increase since 2006.

Each year the register gets larger as more people are ordered to sign on – many for long periods – after being convicted of sex crimes.

In March last year there were 489 offenders on the list, of whom 33 were graded as a high-risk to the public. In 2006 there were 393 people on the register.

    • If anyone has a Evening Star account feel free to drop some information about Dencora House and sex offenders.
