YMCA Training New Deal: no Diversity or Harrassment policies

So, YMCA Training’s New Deal contract had been recently published and one of the most interesting discoveries was no diversity or harrassment policies were included when the contract was signed.

The contract was signed in July 2006. Although DWP has a big requirement on such policies being in place the attitude clearly here is, sign the contract, the missing stuff can be worked out later…

This contract was obtained in 2009… either the plans/policies had been hidden for a reason or to this date the DWP doesn’t have them documents (or if they have seen them hasn’t been incorporated into the contract).

Ipswich Unemployed Action has raised many issues with YMCA Training mostly around lack of equality and also harrassment issues. Is there a link? You decide!
