How to Revive the Unemployed Movement.

This list is sparse. Here.

Interesting to note the North East Unemployed Action Group.  I think we can be sure that we are in solidarity with our sisters and brothers  from the same movement.

But what we need is a campaign. Nationally.

  1. Hiya Guys

I hope you know about the website included raw-rap.com and its resources via Social networking.
I am personally looking into getting a group going on Unemployment (Unemployment Movement) and have been trying to promote it. I hope I can interest you.

I am from the same area and hope you have heard about a meeting to get individuals talking, taking some actions etc. Here is the text from the leaflet and meeting place.

What Can We Do About Unemployment?

Unemployment is again on the rise, and this is leading to increasing discrimination against those who are unable to find a job in this difficult economic climate.

Working class people are the ones who are made to suffer in this economic crisis by losing our jobs; while young people who are leaving school, college or university are finding it increasingly difficult to be able to enter the workforce.

The new welfare reform bill is forcing unemployed people to work for as little as £1.73 an hour; and incapacity benefits are being stopped for many, attempting to force people to work who are incapable to do so.

This will do nothing but ruin people’s lives, strain families and worsen the poorest communities in the area.

Come along to this open meeting to discuss how we, the local community, can organise and fight back against victimisation of the unemployed and the wider working class in Sunderland.

    Wednesday 29th July, 7pm

Upstairs at the Royalty Pub, Chester Road, Sunderland
    Nearest Metro station: University
